| JOURNEY DOWN THE LONG HIGHWAY OF LIFE:
Life has been like a roller coaster ride since twenty-three. Since then the moving cart has been going on a down hill journey, with several short up tracks along the way with me being the driver or passenger. This life journey reminds me of an actual roller coaster ride in Alton Park, London. It had a gradual forward momentum followed by a steep climb to the peak of the tracks, then with a ninety degrees drop from the peak into a dark and cold pit. This expedition down the long and everlasting highway of life has its fair share of happiness, sadness, excitement, anxiety, anger and fun, be it alone or with the company of others.

It seemed like a new beginning of a new chapter in life, full of energy and wanting new and exciting challenges, and leaving the past behind buried under tick layers of fine sand, only to remember the good memories. Starting the year of with a good foundation seem to be the only way that would bring many happy times full of laughter and happiness.
At twenty-Three was when my wings stretched itself and to fly up into the sky and smelling the freedom in the air. A little voice was shouting out saying “fly and smell the freedom, absorb the energy and exhilaration that it brings” over and over again. With the stretching of these wings, building new friendships under one wing and opening up to more activities with the other did bring happiness into life. It was not long before these wings would have to go back into its resting place, at that point in time; life then returned to being monotone once more, taking each day as it comes but it all seemed worth it. At the same time, it was not long before some sadness and anger slither in, however, short lived. Although life being monotone again, but was enjoyable and fun, with new friends and activities that brings adventure, of course, with several shots of emotional trips that was unavoidable.

The year started in a down slide with emotions shooting all over like the world was in the midst of world war III. It was during these times that an old intoxicating activity was reintroduced into life and at the same time new friends was added that encourages this event of intoxicating the body most of the time. Soon it became a routine in life from that point on, drowning famous named liquor from around the world. Anyway, back to the deep drop into darkness, didn’t have a direction on life, being lost most of the time with frustration building. An angel came and held on tight and lifted the dark clouds that were hovering around. Times then started looking brighter and life seems to be much smoother, however, this time it was harder to bury all the memories good and bad. During this time, the angel did get wounded several times, but the angle didn’t give up and hung in there till, eventually all the dark clouds disappeared for... forever.
Then without spreading the wings again, the continuation of life when on with the special touch of the angle, and times got better and better. And of course life was more enjoyable and fun with surrounding people sharing the same activity of intoxication with liquor and for some who found drugs more enjoyable. However, all good things have to come to an end, with some people putting down their pens, flipping to the next page before continue writing. With that happening, emotions started shooting again, but in a good way.

This time, life started off with a positive note on all aspects. With this encouraging start, was looking towards a positive closing, tragedy struck again.
This misfortune can be considered as big as world war III as it matters life and death. Had to put peaceful time on hold, and depart to save a general’s life. While trying to save the general’s life, a personal war was also brewing inside, trying to fight emotions, the situation of the general and many others. Life then was full of anger and sadness that shadowed over all other aspects. Soon things started to look better for the general, so life carried on trying to look for that positive feeling again.
From that point in time after the misfortunate happening, life was different, had to make several important decisions and move on from there. Although it was hard to make those decisions, it had to be done. Therefore, with finalizing those decisions, action was carried out to fulfill it. From then on, life started to get slightly better, even though was still combating several battles within. At the same time, the angel was still there and hanging on tight with both of us looking for better times. Since last year, the intoxication routine didn’t stop with the addition of new troopers into the squad.

Twenty-six is considered as the most unpredictable time of life as it seems to be on the up turn, but with a blink of the eye its back to square one again. There are plenty of personal wars going on within and emotional trips along the way, with the most outstanding of being frustrated above all other emotional feelings. At the same time, the wings were free again with the chains around it melting away, not that it’s a bad thing but for the best of trying to resolve some tension.
The year started slow, but with positive agendas, bringing certain levels of excitement, happiness, sadness, determination and frustrations carrying out actions to satisfy some new and old agendas. Along the way, roadblocks occurred adding more fuel into the fire that has already been around since like forever. Not all roadblocks are considered unhealthy or bad, as positive changes came about from it, however, it has taken a lot of energy and so ever feeling tired. Eventually no matter what, LIFE STILL GOES ON… only wanting the cart on the roller coaster to travel on to higher grounds. |
